Two small pieces in Summer Show

Two new pieces (3.5"X3.5") have been accepted into the juried Summer show at the MD Federation of Art Circle Gallery on State Circle in Annapolis. The show opens August 19th and the artists' reception is this Sunday, August 23rd from 3 to 5 PM. See you there!!

"And A Little Child Shall Lead Them" (Homage to Joseph Cornell) Completed in March-April 2009. Currently on display in The Spring juried show at the Circle Gallery on State Street in Annapolis, along with "The Bishop's Obsession" which was awarded Honorable Mention.

This piece is about secrets in our past. We take risks whenever we trust others with our secrets. But it is human nature to want to share them.

"Critical Moment"


I am most grateful to the Maryland Federation of Art for giving artists the opportunity to display their work publicly. Again this year, the Circle Gallery on State Street in Annapolis was opened to artist members and I was happy to participate. On display were 11 of my pieces, many of them new. During the artists reception Saturday Feb 8th, it was suggested that I add some comments about each piece to help guide the viewer through the experience. Although I am hesitant to "pollute" the encounter with these constructions, I understand the need for clarification. I hope this will enhance people's enjoyment of my work.
